Income Equality Between Genders


Hello, My name is Muneeb and in this blog we will focus on the unfair wage gap between males and females and how men are considered more superior than woman in the workplace.


      Gender inequality in this world has been taking place for a very long time and in many different places. Gender inequality is when people treat others unfairly simply due to their gender. One of the most common places gender inequality is found is in the workplace where men usually hold higher positions than woman and this position of power typically leads to them promoting and hiring other men resulting in the discrimination against woman.


       Moving on to my actual purpose of this blog which is the inequality of income between men and woman....... The reason this gender inequality exists in the workplace and in the income is because of a typical stereotype about men which is that men excel in everything they do and woman don't which is completely false. Statistics show that six out of ten bachelor degrees are earned by woman compared to four out of ten earned by men. Statistics also show that 73% of companies have more men in power than woman and how their is an average of a 37% wage gap between men and woman. The chart below shows the difference between a male and females earning one year after graduating college. While income levels are rising globally for both men and woman, woman do not share the same benefits. Unfortunately high gender gaps in income still exist in many countries.

      In conclusion the wage gap between men and woman should be equal and both genders should be able to be granted a "higher position" in the workplace and no gender should be considered "better" than the other. In general all activities should welcome gender equality!

  1. Nice blog muneeb, an equal minimum wage should be the first priority when considering income equality in the workplace, regardless the nature of the work the income value must be the same for the opposite gender
